O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to refer the claim made by the petitioner to the Court under section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act 1997 for determination of compensation amount for acquiring the petitioner's land measuring an extent of 13,200 sq.feet comprised in S.No.32/3F1A, Victoria Town situated at Vallam "A" Village, Sriperumpudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Mr. A. Elango, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent has not passed the award sofar and therefore, the Writ Petition cannot be entertained.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, since the respondents have not passed any award, the question of referring the matter under section 8 of the Act does not arise. In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
