ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.01.2020 for the offence publishable under Section 392 IPC, in Crime No.604 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused snatched 3.5 sovereigns of gold chain from the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and a false case has been foisted against the petitioner. He further submitted that the co-accused has been enlarged on bail by the Court below and that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.01.2020 and since then, he has been in judicial custody. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there are nine previous cases against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking into account the nature of offence and the previous antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
