By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to delete the column as Date of Publications of result in the respondent commission web site based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.03.2022.
3. The case of the petitioner in brief:
The petitioner was selected through TNPSC Group - IV examination and was appointed as Village Administrative Officer in Puthagaram Village, Mannarkudi Taluk, Thiruvarur
District. He had completed his i) B.E. Degree course during the year 2008-2012, ii) B.L. Degree course during the year 2015 to 2018 and iii) B.A. Degree course during the year 20182021. Since he got arrears in B.L. and B.A. Degree, he completed the B.L. and B.A. Degree only in the year 2021. 3.1. In the meanwhile, the TNPSC issued notification, inviting applications through on line mode for Group-II Examinations. When the petitioner applied for the above examination, the respondent's website did not accept the B.L and B.A. Decrees. When enquired, it was replied that, since the above two Degrees were completed in the same year, the website denied to accept the two UG degrees and hence insisted to upload only one UG degree in the website. 3.2. According to the petitioner, he joined the B.L. Degree course during the year 2015 to 2018 and B.
A. Degree course during the year 2018-2021 and he completed the above Degrees only in the year 2021, since he had arrears. Hence, there is no illegality or violence of the Rules and Regulations as against TNPSC and the respondents cannot deny to upload the two UG degree course in their website. Therefore, the petitioner sent mail and also representation dated 16.03.2022 to the first respondent to " delete the column as Date of Publication of Result". But there was no reply. Hence this writ petition.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if any such representation made by the petitioner was received by the respondents, the same will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed, in accordance with the Rules.
5. Inview of the above submission and considering the limited scope of prayer and to meet the ends of justice, without expressing any opinion on merits, this court is inclined to pass the following order.
i) The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.03.2022 and to pass order in accordance with the Rules, on its own merits, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
