By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent / the Revenue Divisional Officer, Muduchur Road, Tambaram, to dispose of his pending appeal dated 03.01.2018 with regard to restoration of patta Nos.105 and 101 in his favour in respect of S.Nos.469/1 and 469/2 in Pallikaranai Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that since the petitioner had suffered an order dated 12.09.2012 passed by the Tahsildar, Sholinganallur, Kancheepuram District, the petitioner had filed a Writ Petition No.3685 of 2015, whereby, this Court, by order dated 29.11.2017, disposed of the said writ petition giving liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer. Pursuant to the order of this Court, although the petitioner has preferred an appeal dated 03.01.2018 before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram, the same has not been disposed of till date.
3. Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, by accepting notice for the respondents, submitted that a direction may be given to the second respondent to dispose of the said pending appeal within a period of four weeks.
4. Recording the above said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to dispose of the pending appeal dated 03.01.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
