PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to Letter No.A.E./O&M/S/Jalagai/Complaint Letter/No.222/13 dated 12.9.2013 issued by the 3rd respondent, quash the same and direct the respondents to give electricity connection to the petitioner's land in Survey No.278/2 Pakkanadu Village on the basis of the Application No.128 registered on 17.6.1997.

O R D E R
The order, rejecting the application for providing agricultural Electricity Service Connection in the premises of the petitioner in proceedings dated 12.09.2013 is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. The petitioner is an agriculturist and owning agricultural lands in Pakkanadu Village. The petitioner submitted an application seeking electricity service connection vide Application No.128 dated 17.06.1997. In proceedings dated 01.11.2010, the petitioner was informed that the application had been processed. The petitioner was called upon to submit the original documents for inspection. However, the order impugned dated 12.09.2013 was issued on the ground that the petitioner has to submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the Block Development Officer, as 'No Objection Certificate' is required as per the Government Order dated 11.03.1992.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that there is no such requirement of 'No Objection Certificate' from the Block Development Officer and in spite of the fact that the petitioner has submitted an application before the Block Development Officer for issuing 'No objection Certificate'.
4. The writ petition was filed in the year 2013 and is pending for about 8 years. Under these circumstances, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authorities and furnish all the required documents and in the event of filing of such required documents, the competent authorities of the Board shall consider the claim of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
5. With this liberty, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
