ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to take action in respect of the complaint dated 26.02.2021 given by the petitioner and to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner, her husband and her only daughter and also give protection to the house property situated at No.12/5, Gangai Nagar, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-600 019. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.It is seen that the petitioner, who is aged about 76 years had lodged a complaint to the respondent Police on 26.02.2021. Earlier her husband, who is aged about 81 years had sent a representation dated 13.10.2014 to the respondent Police seeking protection to their life and also property stating that they are having threat and harassment from their son for greed of property. Though it appears that it is a family property dispute, the life of the petitioner and her husband is under severe threat and livelihood is also become questionable. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the respondent Police to immediately call the 2nd son of the petitioner for an enquiry and instruct them not to interfere with the life of the petitioner and her husband. If inspite of the advice, any threat is exerted, immediate action shall be taken against them and if necessary police protection shall be granted for the petitioner and her family.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
