ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the entry as 'Jakob' instead of 'Shop' in SR No.187, Old SR No.30/2A Part,

Block No.27, Ward AA in the Town Survey Land Register for Salem Town, based on the "Settlement Register for Municipal own" for Salem Town within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner submitted various representations to correct the entry as 'Jakob' instead of 'Shop' in SR No.187, Old SR No.30/2A Part, Block No.27, Ward AA in the Town Survey Land Register for Salem Town, based on the "Settlement Register for Municipal own" for Salem Town. In the year 2013, the Village Administrative Officer, Annathanampatti Town and the Revenue Divisional Officer, Suramangalam Firka, Salem District, are also sent reports to the Thasildar, Annathanampatti Town, Salem District to correct the Town Survey Land Register, but no action was taken, even till date. Due to passity of eight years, the representation may not be available with the file of the 1st respondent.

3. Considering the above, the petitioner is at liberty to submit fresh representation before the 1st respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose the same, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
