Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the the 5th respondent to furnish informations as sought by the petitioner under the RTI application dated 04.03.2015 based on the direction issued by the 1st respondent and consequently direct the respondents to pay a just and reasonable compensation for the mental agony caused to the petitioner forthwith. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that in pursuance to the directions of the 1st respondent dated 06.01.2015, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 04.03.2015 to the 5th respondent and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents 2, 3 and 6 and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Standing counsel, who accepts notice for the 5th respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, this Court, directs the 5th respondent to consider the representation dated 04.03.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
