29162/Oo.O.O.Sa.(4)/2011 dated 22-09-2011 and quash the same and direct the respondents to count the consolidated pay service rendered by the petitioner from 02-02-1972 to 30-09-1984 along with the service rendered in the time scale of pay from 1-10-1984 to 30-09-1993 and grant him pension and other retirement benefits. Mr.V.Nanmarran, the learned counsel representing the 3rd respondent, submitted that the petitioner, V.Ganesan, son of Veeramuthu, passed away on 15.11.2021, and he circulated a copy of the death extract of the petitioner.

2. Recording the same, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as abated. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed, if any.
