O R D E R

[Order was delivered by R.SUBBIAH,J] Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents to take necessary action on the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2018, make necessary entries in the community list and issue a community certificate to petitioner's son at the earliest.

2. According to the petitioner, he belongs to converted Christian from Nathamar and obtained Community Certificate in the year 2004 and his name was entered in Sl.No.142 in the Backward Class List. Petitioner submitted an application through online for issuance of Community Certificate to his son. However, such application was rejected on the reasoning that the words 'Converted Christian from Nathamar' has not been found in the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency Website. Petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.03.2018 to first respondent to upload the particulars related to Sl.No.142 in the backward list in the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency Website. Since no action was taken, petitioner has filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader for respondents submitted that orders would be passed on the representation of the petitioner, after conducting enquiry, within a period of two weeks.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. No costs.
