[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for two months to the detenu Jakir Hussain, son of Salaudeen, Life Convict No.1770, detained at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

The petitioner's husband Jakir Hussain, is a Life Convict No.1770 and is detained in Central Prison, Puzhal. The petitioner gave a representation dated 12.10.2020 to the prison authorities seeking two months leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 and has thereafter, filed the present writ petition.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the authorities have considered the representation of the petitioner and have rejected the same on 22.03.2021 vide Proceedings No.1770/2020. In view the above, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 22.03.2021. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor shall serve a copy of the said order on the learned counsel for the petitioner. No costs.
