This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take action against the respondents 5 and 6 and to restrain them from interfering with the affairs of Arulmighu Krishna Perumal temple at Velampalayam, Thenmugam Vellode Village, Perundurai Taluk, considering the representation dated 18/12/2019.

2. The facts in brief are as under:- Arulmighu Krishna Perumal Koil, situated at Velampalayam, Thenmugam Vellode Village, Perundurai Taluk is a Vaishnava temple which Page No:2/6

was constructed a century ago. Except the Moolavar of Krishna Perumal, no other statutes were in existence. The said temple is under the administration of third respondent. But the fifth and sixth respondents made a selfdeclaration that they represent the temple as the third respondent did not actively participate in the administration work of the said temple.

3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 5 and 6 have destructed the very nature of the said temple in the name of renovation and they have looted the precious jewels. Hence, the petitioner gave representations to the respondents 1 to 4. Since all the representations went unanswered, the petitioner has come forward with the instant writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.M.Guruprasad, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.NRR.Arun Nataraj, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) for the respondents 1 to 4. There is no representation on behalf of the respondents 5 and 6.

5. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would be suffice if this Court issues direction to Page No:3/6

the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's last representation dated 18/12/2019, and pass orders on the same, as expeditiously as possible.

6. The learned Special Government Pleader (HR &CE) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 18/12/2019, will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed, at the earliest.

7. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the respondents 1 to 4, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18/12/2019, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the respondents 5 and 6.

8. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. 22/10/2024 mvs.
