O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to provide adequate police protection to petitioner's

factory namely M/s.Steel Strips Wheels Ltd., A-10, SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Oragadam, Vallam Village, Mathur Post, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District as per the representation dated 05.01.2018.

2.Heard, Mr.T.Sundaravadanam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent and M/s.Row and Reddy, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3.It is seen from the records that the petitioner/factory is engaged in manufacturing steel wheels and supply the same to major automobile car companies. The petitioner/factory has stocked out hazardous chemicals namely Carbon-di-oxide, Liquid Argon gas, Propane liquefied gas, Diesel at huge quantity for industrial purpose. If there is no proper monitoring of the factory, it will cause danger to all the companies and residents living in and around the locality. In order to prevent such hardships, they made a complaint on 04.01.2018 about the unlawful strike inside the official premises. It is now submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that certain section of workmen along with unknown persons are unlawfully creating disturbances in and around the factory premises. In the mean time, there was a conciliation process between the management and the trade union. While pending the conciliation proceedings, the fourth respondent was trying to indulge in coercive activities, thereby disturbing the smooth functioning of the petitioner-institutions.

4.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court by an order dated 09.01.2018, restrained the second respondent from indulging any illegal strikes or other activities within the radius of 200 metres from the factory and administrative block of petitioner/factory premises namely M/s.Steel Strips Wheels Ltd., A-10, SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Oragadam, Vallam Village, Mathur Post, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. The interim order is still in force. Now, the learned counsel appearing for both the parties submitted that the conciliation proceedings are over and between the petitioner's management and the second respondent and now the petitioner-factory premises is running smoothly without any disturbance whatsoever by the second respondent. 5.Recording the same, the writ petition is closed.
