Mr.M.Guruprasad, Government Advocate for R1 to R4 Order This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2025 and 19.02.2026 seeking to cancel the erroneous Ryotwari Patta issued contrary to the registered partition deed dated 28.03.1959 and to issue a corrected patta after proper

survey and measurement and maintain status quo in the patta records relating to "C" schedule property pending disposal of O.S.No.57 of 2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father and the respondents 5 to 7 entered into a partition on 28.03.1959 and on 27.02.1971, the Settlement Tahsildar, Erode passed proceedings issuing Ryotwari Patta to the petitioner's father and to the respondents 5 to 7. On 07.02.2000, the petitioner and his siblings partitioned their father's property. In order to correct the mistake in the Ryotwari Patta, the petitioner sent representations dated 30.12.2025 and 19.02.2026 to the respondents 1 to 4 for correct extent of land, however no action has been taken so far on the petitioner's representations and therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representations dated 30.12.2025 and 19.02.2026 will be disposed of by the 3rd respondent within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 30.12.2025 and 19.02.2026 on its own merits, after issuing notice to the respondents 5 to 7 and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
