Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the 1st respondent in Rc.No.12357/L1/2014 dated 22.01.2015 and to quash the same and consequently, directing the respondents to award weightage marks to the 1/4

petitioner for the service rendered in International University of Libyan University for the period from 24.10.2007 to 31.08.2010 (2 years and 10 months) as per Regulation 10.1 of University Grants Commission Regulations on minimum qualification for appointment of teachers in Universities and Colleges, 2010 as well as for the period from 07.12.2010 to 14.08.2011 (8 months) as well as for the period from 1998-2002 (four years) worked as Guest Lecturer at Government Arts College, Kumbakonam, drawing Government salary and from 19.06.2002 to 13.06.2006 worked as Lecturer and consequently, select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Assistant Professor of English based on such awarding of weightage marks and on merits in the selection with due seniority and other attendant benefits.

ORDER

Today, when this writ petition was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought by the petitioner has become infructuous. The learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect in the petition.

2. In view of the submission coupled with an endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
