Mr.M.Krishnamoorthy, learned counsel for the Appellant and M/s.Ramya V.Rao, learned counsel for the Respondents 1 and 2 are present before this Court.
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.31,41,000/- along with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. Aggrieved by the said award amount, the Appellant/Insurance Company preferred this Appeal.
2. After passing the award, the Insurance Company had deposited 50% of the award amount along with proportionate interest.
3. During the pendency of the Appeal, the Insurance Company arrived at a settlement, thereby, the Claimants/Respondents have agreed to receive modified sum of Rs.35,00,000/- in full quit.
4. The second respondent/Insurance Company is directed to deposit the balance amount within a period of four weeks from today (11.02.2023).
5. The Respondent/Claimants are entitled to withdraw the amount deposited in trial Court and the modified balance amount as stated at Para No.3 above. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition, if any, is closed.
