The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.83 of 2024 registered by the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 174 Cr.P.C. and altered into 306 IPC.

2. It is stated that A1 had been arrested and had been granted bail in Crl.M.P.No.1476 of 2024 by an order dated 05.03.2024 by the Principal District and Sessions Court, Cuddalore, who was holding charge as Principal Sessions Judge, Cuddalore for one day.

3. It is the case of the prosecution that the suicide was owing to the accused person. There is a civil suit pending between the parties in O.S.No.352 of 2021. But it is the specific allegation that the accused had tied the hands of the deceased and made him to kneel down in front of the general public. Humiliated by that, he had taken the decision to take his life. 1/3

4. Taking all those factors into consideration, and holding that the accused have no right to tie the hands and make any individual to kneel down in the public place, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 11.03.2024 2/3
