ORDER

Dr.P.Ilangovan has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a mandamus forbearing the respondents, their men, officials and agents from taking any action for the dispossession of the petitioner and

demolition of the building owned by the petitioner at Door No.1A/5, 1B1 Sambasivam Pillai Street, Ariyalur comprised in G.R.Survey No.541/306 without following due process of law under procedure of Land Acquisition Act and without giving adequate opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.

2. When the matter was taken up, Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate for the respondents, placing on record a copy of the letter dated 18.9.2019 issued by the Tahsildar, Ariyalur, submitted that the petitioner has come to this Court with an apprehension that the respondents are going to dispossess the petitioner, but there is no decision taken by them for initiation of land acquisition proceedings to dispossess the petitioner from the property in question. A copy of the said letter has also been served upon the petitioner's counsel.

3. Placing on record the copy of the letter dated 18.9.2019 and recording the statement made by the learned Government Advocate that the respondents have not decided to initiate land acquisition proceedings for acquiring the property in question, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2012 is closed. No costs.
