The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 457 and 511 of IPC in Crime No. 18 of 2024, seek anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant, who is the Personal Assistant of the Former Chief Minister of this State, had given a complaint that on 10.02.2014 at around 12.40 a.m., the family members had heard some noise outside the house and found five unidentified persons breaking the lock and standing at the front door. Immediately, they called for help and the persons, who had come there ran away.

3. It is stated that through CCTV footage, the respondent had secured these persons, namely, A-1 to A-6. They also identified the car and the seventh accused was also identified. The accused Nos. 1 to 3 are in custody. It is specifically stated that on the basis of the confession, these accused have been implicated and that further https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

vsg investigation will have to be done to determine the reasons for threat and attempt to commit dacoity in that particular house. There is also a further development during the course of investigation. Let investigation proceed to its logical conclusion.

4. I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Petition stands dismissed.
