ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J., through Video Conferencing] The Tahsildar, Avadi, has filed the Compliance Affidavit dated 16.04.2021 and it is relevant to extract paragraph no.13: ''It is humbly submitted that the enquiry was held and order was passed by the District Collector of Tiruvallur vide R.C.No.288/2019/N1 dated 24.06.2019. It is further submitted that based on the order of the District Collector, Tiruvallur, the said encroachments on water body were evicted by then Tahsildar, Avadi, dated 01.08.2019 and 02.08.2019.''

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Heard the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents / contemnors who would submit that in the light of the said Compliance Report, the Contempt Petition may be closed.

4. This Court has considered the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent / contemnor as well as the Compliance Affidavit and in the light of the same, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, the respondent / contemnor are also ensure that there shall not be any re-encroachment or fresh encroachment on the land / water body in question.
