This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of 2/4
Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 20.07.2018 and reclassify the lands in T.S.No.1, Block No.5 of Dr.Radhakrishnan Nagar, Poonamallee High Road, Arumbakkam, Chennai - 600 106, as Ryotwari Manai and grant patta to the petitioners for the land.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are in occupation of the subject property and the said land is classified as 'Government Poromboke' and hence patta was not granted to the petitioners. Therefore, the petitioners made representation dated 20.07.2018 to the respondents seeking reclassification of the land and for grant of patta, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may issue direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 20.07.2018 and to pass appropriate orders.
3.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 20.07.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from 3/4
