Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent authority to give permission to conduct the cultural dance programme at Navalpatty, Perumal Temple Thiruvila, Namakkal District on 03.05.2015 based on the petitioner representation dated 22.04.2015.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to be the head of the Organizing Committee to conduct the festival in respect of Perumal Temple, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District and submitted an application/representation dated 22.04.2015 to the respondent to conduct a song and dance programme on 03.05.2015, in connection with the said temple festival and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
prays for appropriate orders.
4. This Court heard the submissions of Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 22.04.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 02.05.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
6. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
