This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report filed by the respondent Police against the petitioner in Crime No.75 of 2022.

2. The crux of the allegation is that the 1st accused/petitioner herein introduced 2nd accused to the de-facto complainant/R2 as the son of the famous singer. A1 and A2 induced the de-facto complainant to pay a sum of Rs.36,00,000/- and thereby, cheated her. It is also alleged in the complaint that the 2nd accused is not the son of the famous singer and also when the de-facto complainant demanded her money, she was threatened by the accused.

3. In such view of the matter, the said allegation itself indicating the element of deception and inducement to part with money and it requires proper investigation. Hence, this Court is not inclined to quash the First Information Report. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
