[ Respondents] PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose off the petitioner Appeal dated 22.2.2012 against the 2nd respondent order in proceedings No.Y1/ 43259/ 2009 dated 19.11.2011 within four weeks after affording the petitioner an opportunity of personal hearing with his legal representative. Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. With the consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Appeal dated 22.2.2012 against the 2nd respondent's order dated 19.11.201, within a time frame.

3. The petitioner filed an appeal dated 22.02.2012 against the order of the 2nd respondent dated 19.11.2011 relating to fixation of seniority. His grievance is that the 1s respondent has not sofar disposed of the appeal.

4. In such circumstances, the 1st respondent is directed to pass orders on the aforesaid appeal filed by the petitioner dated 22.02.2012, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the first respondent is inclined to pass any adverse order against third party, those persons shall be heard before passing order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
