Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct a cultural program schedule to be held on 13.5.2015 at Shri Pudupatti Mari Amman Temple at Lathu Vadi Post, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District by considering the petitioner representation dated 27.04.2015.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he is the resident of Latthu Vadi Post and also an Organiser of the programme in connection with the temple festival relating to Shri Pudupatti Mari Amman Temple and he submitted an application/representation dated 27.04.2015 to the respondent to conduct a song and dance programme on 13.05.2015 and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Udayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Rm.Muthu Kumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 27.04.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

expeditiously as possible and not later than 11.05.2015 and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith.
