The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to consider the representation dated 08.01.2020 submitted by the Petitioner to the 2nd Respondent for rerouting of the transmission lines and to intimate the differential cost to realign the EHT tower line (H78) and accept the payment for differential cost from the petitioner for implementing the realignment and installation of the EHT tower line.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a company owning large tracts of land in Hanumanthai Village in Chengalpattu District and also developed a huge commercial project called as Mahindra World City. The respondents have made plans and arrangements to install a High Tension Power line in Hanumanthai Village which are predominantly passing on certain field numbers belonging to the petitioner. The petitioner made a representation to the 2/6
respondents to shift the alignment of the High Tension Power Line to the boundaries of the property which also belongs to the petitioner and the petitioner has also agreed to bear the costs for the same. The respondents have not taken any steps in this regard. Hence, the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 08.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 08.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner, within 3/6
a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
