ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing he Respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds in commensurate with her educational qualification and otherwise, on account of death of her husband S.Jothi, formerly Commercial Assistant, on 02/02/2025 in a motor accident, within a reasonable time frame as deem fit by this Hon'ble Court and grant such other further relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the Circumstances of the case."

2. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, despite being fully eligible for compassionate appointment on account of the death of her husband, who was employed in the respondent corporation and passed away on 02.02.2025, and despite submitting a representation seeking compassionate appointment on 24.03.2025, immediately following her husband's death, to date, the respondents have not taken any steps to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds.

3.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. Considering the limited request of the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2025 seeking compassionate appointment has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
