Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 30.03.2016 for accelerated promotion to the Post of Deputy Tahsildar, Tahsildar, Deputy Collector and District Revenue Officer from the date on which directly recruited Graduate Assistants given benefit and confer all the consequential benefits.(Prayer amended as per order dated 18.12.2017 in W.M.P.No.25043/2017 in W.P.No.21280/2017) For Petitioner : Mr.P.Ganesan for M/s.C.S.Associates For Respondents : M/s.A.Srijayanthi, Spl GP

The grievance of the writ petitioner regarding the revision of seniority and for consequential accelerated promotion has not been considered, despite the fact that he is fully eligible and qualified for promotion.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that setting out all the factual details, the writ petitioner preferred an appeal to the first respondent on 30.03.2016 and the same is yet to be considered. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner on 30.06.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
