Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.I.Arokiasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Ms.C.N.G.Niraimathi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3, who has produced G.O.(Ms).No.233, Higher Education (K2) Department dated 18.11.2016, wherein it has been stated among other things that M.Sc. Aquaculture degree awarded by the University of Madras is not equivalent to M.Sc. Zoology degree for the purpose of employment in Public Services. The above cited Government Order is taken on file and recorded.

2. In the light of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge G.O.(Ms).No.233, Higher Education (K2) Department dated 18.11.2016 in accordance with law before the competent forum.
