(R4 impleaded as per the order of this Court dated 31.03.2021 by NSSJ) Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta for the petitioner's house and house site situated in S.No.20/2, Velichai Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the petitioners by taking note of report of the second respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.1800/2020/A dated 11.09.2020 and the third respondent's report in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.70/2020/B2 dated Nil.08.2020.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to issue patta for the petitioner's house and house site situated in S.No.20/2,

Velichai Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the petitioners by taking note of the report of the second respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1800/2020/A dated 11.09.2020 and the report of the third respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.70/2020/B2 dated Nil.08.2020. 2.Mr.G.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate entered appearance for the respondents and made a statement that the report of the second respondent dated 11.09.2020, which was addressed to the District Collector was forwarded by him to the District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet. However, the District Revenue Officer was not made as a party to the proceedings. He further submitted that an enquiry is scheduled to take place on 12.05.2021 at 11.00 a.m at the office of the District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet.

3.The said statement of the learned Government Advocate is recorded.

4.The District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet is suo-motu impleaded as the fourth respondent.

5.In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given except that the fourth respondent is directed to issue notice to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, provide them a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the matter through a speaking order within a period of twelve (12) weeks (after the conclusion of the General Elections of the State Legislative Assembly - 2021) from 12.05.2021.
