The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to keep all the proceedings pursuant to the impugned order for the tax demand raised in the assessment year 2009-10, pending disposal of the First Appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
2. Today, when the matter was called, Mrs.Hema Muralikrishnan, Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the appeal itself has been disposed of on 24.03.2014. While that being so, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
