Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the respondents to register the case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 5.6.2016 and investigate the same and file final report before the appropriate Court within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register a case on the complaint dated 05.6.2016 given by the petitioner and to investigate the same and to file a final report.

2. No representation for the petitioner. This Court perused the records and heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 05.06.2016, given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending and that the Inspector of Police, Selaiyur Police Station, has addressed a letter to the Tahsildar for measurement of property and he is awaiting his report.

Under such circumstances, the respondent-Police is directed to proceed with the enquiry, and if the complaint discloses commission of cognizable offence, register an FIR, and take action in accordance with law, or otherwise close the same under intimation to the petitioner.
