Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 22.04.2015 and permit the petitioner to conduct Chitra Powrnami Festival from 01.05.2015 to 5.5.2015 at our temple at the Snake Lair and Vana Durgai Amman Temple at the end of the 6th Street, in Govindarajapuram in Nandivaram.

The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.04.2015 to the respondents praying for appropriate permission and protection to conduct the temple festival relating to Om Sri Navasakthi Suyambu Arulmigu Sri Vana Durga Devi Temple located at Guduvancherry and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the order dated 21.09.2012 made in W.P.No.25753 of 2012, wherein similar prayer was made and the 1st respondent viz., the District Collector, Kancheepuram, was directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and they also conducted the festival and prays for similar orders.
4. Heard the submissions of Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Government Advocate (Forest), who accepts notice for the 2nd respondent.
5. In the light of the facts and circumstances of this case and without going into the merits of the application/representation, this Court, directs the respondents to consider the application/representation dated 22.04.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith.
