Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 15.02.2018 and transfer the petitioner from Government Kasthurba Gandhi Hospital, for Women and Children, Chennai to Alangulam Government Hospital or Government Palayankotai Medical College Hospital or Sankarankovil GH or Thenkasi or Ambasamudram Government Hospital or any one Government Hospital or any one of Urban Primary Health Centers at Tirunelveli District which is nearest to petitioner's native place.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.
2. The petitioner has been absorbed into regular time scale of pay on 19.12.2017 and posted as Regular Nurse in the pre-revised scale of pay PB2-Rs.9300-34800, Grade Pay of Rs.4450 at ISO and Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital for Women and Children, Chennai. As the native of the petitioner is at Thirunelveli, where her family is living, she wants to join her family. In this regard, she has also given a representation dated 15.02.2018 seeking transfer from Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital for Women and Children, Chennai to Alangulam Government Hospital or Government Palayankotai Medical College Hospital or Sankarankovil Government Hospital or Thenkasi or Ambasamudram Government Hospital or any one Government Hospital or any one of Urban Primary Health Centers at Tirunelveli District, which is nearest to her native place. But till date the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Heard Mr.K.Karunakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who sought reasonable time to consider the pending representation made by the petitioner.
4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2018, if any vacancy in any one of the aforementioned Hospitals and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
