the petitioner had challenged an order of transfer. Since the petitioner has retired from service, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. To that effect, he has also made an endorsement in the bundle.

2. Recording the submissions and the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
