ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of a separate patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

Mr.M.Elumalai, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate for

respondents 1 and 2.

The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property through a registered sale deed registered as document No.1397 of 2021. The petitioner is also placing reliance upon the joint patta that has been issued in Patta No.24478. The petitioner submitted an application on 17.12.2024 seeking for issuance of a separate patta in the name of the petitioner. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 17.12.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any rival claimants, they shall be put on notice before final order is passed.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
