This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 09.09.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for cancellation of the patta that 2/6
stands in the name of the private respondents. 2.Heard Ms.Haritha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property is an ancestral property which was inherited by the petitioner and others. While so, the private respondents had managed to mutatate their names in the revenue records. Questioning the same, representation was made to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to cancel the patta issued in their name. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 09.09.2024, on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording an opportunity to the private respondents and order shall be passed, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3/6
