ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose the M.P.No.385 of 2018 in M.C.No.273 of 2017 pending before the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai as expeditiously as possible.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent has filed a petition in M.C.No.273 of 2017 before the VI Family Court, Chennai seeking for monthly maintenance and the same was partly allowed by an order dated 20.03.2018. The petitioner filed a petition in M.P.No.385 of 2018 seeking to set aside the order passed in M.C.No.273 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2017 on the file of the VI Family Court, Chennai. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the respondent is not appearing before the court below and it is only for the purpose of drag on the proceedings.

4. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai is directed to dispose the M.P.No.385 of 2018 in M.C.No.273 of 2017 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition disposed of.
