..4th Respondent in W.P.No.13489/15 Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing

the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 25.04.2015, 27.04.2015, 10.4.2015, 9.04.2015, 13.04.2015, 25.04.2015 respectively and increase and enhance the age of the petitioner retirement from 60 years to 65 years as per the directions issued by the Government of India and allow the petitioner to continue her services till she attain the age of 65 years with all consequential benefits award costs. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Krishnaswamy in all W.Ps.

For Respondents : Mr.R.Vijayakumar in all W.Ps.

Additional Government Pleader C O M M O N O R D E R By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal and as the facts pleaded and the submissions made are one and the same, all these writ petitions are disposed of by a common order.

2. The petitioners claim to be Anganwadi workers and express their grievance that originally the age of retirement of main Anganvadi workers was 58 years and subsequently, it was increased as 60 by an order dated 03.12.1991 and once again it was clarified on 06.07.2001 that the age of retirement was only 60 years. The Government of India has raised the age of retirement of Anganwadi workers vide proceedings in O.M.No.1-1/2007-CD-1 (Vo.II) dated 01.03.2003 and directed all the respective State Governments to uniformly fix the age of retirement of Anganwadi workers as 65 years and in this regard, all the petitioners have submitted individual representations and since, they have not been favoured with any response, the present writ petitions have been filed.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Krishnaswamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the State Government.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the representations, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' individual representation, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioners.

5. These writ petitions are disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
