Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and issue certificate of product approval for M.Sand to the petitioner for a period of 3 years with reference to the M.Sand unit situated at S.F.Nos.173/1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 174 and 175/1, Erumaiyur Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, pursuant to the application of the petitioner dated 29.10.2019.
3. The petitioner claiming to be a Manufacturer of M.Sand, made the above representation seeking for issuance of certificate of product approval for a period of 3 years. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation is still pending.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this Writ Petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 29.10.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
