Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the 1st respondent to produce the petitioner's son namely Tamilarasan aged 20 years before this Court from the illegal custody of the 2nd respondent and to set him at liberty. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Jayaprakash.

O R D E R

(Order of the court was made by MRS.R.HEMALATHA.J.,) The petitioner viz., D.Perumal filed this present petition to produce his son viz., Tamilarasan aged about 20 years before this Court.

2.Notice was issued to the respondents and in response to the notice, the Inspector of Police, Kanthili Police Station produced the detenu viz., Tamilarasan as well as the second respondent viz., Kalai Selvi. We interacted with the detenu as well as with second respondent. Both of them informed this Court that they got married at a Murugan Temple in Tirupathi on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

03.03.2020 and that this was already informed to their parents in the presence of the Inspector of Police.

3.Since both the detenu as well as the second respondent are majors, this Court is of the considered opinion that they do not require any guidance or assistance. Therefore, the detenu is set at liberty and this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
