This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the Respondent to appoint the petitioner as a Salesman. 1/4

2. Heard Mr.S.Chinnasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents.

3. In the instant case, the notification was issued by the Respondent in the year 2022 and by now, the entire appointment process would have been over. The petitioner did not have the advantage of an interim order by reserving one post for the petitioner. Therefore, at this length of time, no useful purpose will be served in dealing with the case on merits since all the posts would have been filled up.

4. In the light of the above, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.08.2024 Index : Yes / No Speaking (or) Non-Speaking order mka 2/4
