Mr.I.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on his representation dated 01.08.2016, wherein and whereby, he sought for re-classification of the land measuring an extent of 0.44 acres in Survey No.758/2 and 1.40 acres in Survey No.758/3, Mookondapalli Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District and issuance of patta in his favour.

3. It is stated that the subject matter property is in possession and enjoyment of the petitioner and his family members since 1921. However, while updating Registry Scheme https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(UDR), the lands in Survey Nos.758/2 and 758/3 have been wrongly classified as "Grazing Land". Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 01.08.2016 to the respondent, requesting to rectify the mistake in the Revenue records and issue patta in his favour. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondent so far.

4. Heard both sides.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.08.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
