When the matter was taken up today, Mr.R.M.D.Nazurulla, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner himself died on 05.11.2022.

The petitioner is the younger disabled son and the 4th respondent is the elder disabled son of the deceased petitioner / Government employee. Hence, the Government had chosen to pass the order for granting family pension in favour of the 4th respondent and that was challenged by the petitioner in this Writ Petition.

Since the petitioner himself died, the petitioner's claim has got abated. Hence, this Writ Petition is closed as abated. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
