ORDER

The petitioner was granted bail by this Court vide order dated 09.12.2024 and was ordered to be released on bail on her executing a bond for a sum of Rs.15,000/- with two sureties (out of which, one of the sureties should be either the father or mother of the petitioner).

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though this Court had granted bail to the petitioner on 09.12.2024, she is unable to execute the sureties as she has lost both her parents and that she is still languishing in jail.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody in spite of bail granted by this Court vide order dated 09.12.2024, this Court is of the view that the condition imposed on the petitioner in para No.4 can be modified as Page No.2 of 4

follows:

"The petitioner/accused is ordered to be released on bail on her execution of a bond for Rs.15,000/- with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore."

The other conditions imposed in the order dated 19.12.2024 in Crl.O.P.No.29970 of 2024 shall remain unaltered.

5. Further, time to furnish surety is extended by a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is ordered, and the condition is modified.
