Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 extend job assistance rehabilitation to the petitioner taking into consideration their qualification appoint him in suitable posts appropriate to their qualification and appoint petitioner in suitable post appropriate to his qualification. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking writ of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to extend job assistance rehabilitation to the petitioner taking into consideration their qualification appoint him in suitable posts appropriate to their qualification and appoint petitioner in suitable post appropriate to his qualification.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 to 3.

The basis for the claim that is being made by the petitioner is that the lands belonging to the father of the petitioner were acquired by the respondents for the purpose of establishing the Mettur Thermal Power Station at Puduchinnakavoor Village and under the scheme formulated by the respondent corporation.

4. The petitioner is claiming to have been entitled to employment assistance. Claiming the same, the petitioner is stated to have submitted an undertaking dated 25.06.2015 along with a representation dated 23.07.2015. The said claim of the petitioner is yet to be considered by the respondents.

5. Though the respondents have filed their counter affidavit, registering the claim made by the petitioner, this Court, taking into consideration that the very same aspect has been considered by this Court in various other cases, direct the respondents to consider the claim made by the petitioner as made in the representation dated 23.07.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Liberty is also granted to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation along with necessary documents Page No. 3 of 6

within a period of two weeks, and thereafter the respondents shall consider the same within a further period of six weeks.
