This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of the third respondent dated 16.02.2012, whereby, the petitioner was directed to pay Rs.33,925/- within a period of 7 days.
2. The case of the petitioner is that after replacing the tubelights into CFL lambs, consumption of electricity had been reduced considerably, but the respondent Board without noticing the same, directed the petitioner to pay the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
amount on the ground that there was a mistake in the meter.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would state that if the petitioner is having any grievance over fixing of the consumption charges, he can very well file an appeal before the appellate Forum, for redressal of the grievance regarding consumption. However, without exhausting the appeal remedy, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
4. In the light of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such compliance, the said Forum shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks therefrom.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
