Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the District Collector, Kancheepuram District, Kancheepuram, the 3rd respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner submitted on 17.11.2014 and to take effective steps for preventing the illegal sand quarrying which is being done beyond the permitted limit at Sathanancheri Lake in Uthiramerur Taluk, Kanchipuram District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition in order to enable a fresh representation to be made to the authorities concerned, since the last representation was of 17.11.2014.

2. Naturally, on such a representation being made, the respondent authorities would be expected to bestow consideration within a reasonable period of time and if the petitioner still has a grievance, he may take appropriate remedy in accordance with law.

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn in terms aforesaid. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.1133 of 2017 is closed.
