ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection to the petitioners from restraining the 3rd and 4th respondents from interfering with the peaceful possession of the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No. 653/2 Patta No. 2342 and the property comprised in Survey No. 654/2 Subdivision No. 654/2A Patta No. 2342, measuring a total extent of 3.83 acres, situated at Marchanayakanpalayam Village, Anamalai, Coimbatore.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2. Perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner

and the respondents 3 and 4. While being so, the petitioner has sought police protection to enable peaceful enjoyment of the subject property.

4. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that police protection cannot be granted for enjoying the property. Accordingly, this writ petition lacks merit and is liable to be dismissed. Hence, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
