ORDER

The petitioner, alleging that he has been falsely implicated by the respondent for the alleged offences punishable under Section 498(A) I.P.C and Sections 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of SC/ST (POA) Act 1989, seeks a direction to the learned Special Judge for SC/ST Act Cases-cum- Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chennai, to consider and dispose of his bail application under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. on the same day of his surrender before the Court in connection with Crime No.2 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is prepared to surrender before the Court below and is ready to furnish solvent surety in the event of releasing him on bail and further, he is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed on him by this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State.

4. Considering the nature of the relief sought herein and taking note of the fact that the petitioner is prepared to surrender before the learned Special Judge for SC/ST Act Casescum -Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chennai, there shall be a direction to the learned Special Judge for SC/ST Act Casescum -Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chennai, to consider the bail application to be submitted by the petitioner along with his surrender before that Court, on the same day on merits and pass appropriate orders.
